Square black album with Guy's crest on the front, with the decorative inscription on the front page 'Thomas Bryant Esq, FRCS, MCh, on his retirement from the post of Senior Surgeon to Guy's Hospital, After 40 years of unremitting care and attention to the interests of his patients in the Hospital. This testimonial was presented by the students as a slight token of their appreciation of his service to the cause of surgery and the affectionate regret with which they lose him as their friend and teacher, 21 May 1888.'Also contains ten decorative plates listing names of students and photographs of exteriors and interior views of Guy's Hospital and Medical School buildings and Pathology Museum.
