Small manuscript volume of surgical case reports written by pupils under Mr Cock, describing cases encountered in Guy's Hospital wards, Sep 1848-Jun 1850, including ward reference, name, age and occupation of patient, and description of condition, symptoms, and treatment administered. Reporters include Mr Wall, Mr Gwynne, Mr Martin, Mr Rooke, Mr E Higgin Evans, Mr Floyer, Mr Fowker, Mr Atkinson, Mr Hicks, Mr Watson, Mr Orancour, and George A Watson. Some details of their length of attendance or number of cases seen are also included. Also contains printed copy of directions for the recording of cases, and an index arranged alphabetically by disease.
