Small manuscript volume of surgical case reports written by J B King, pupil under Mr Cock, describing cases encountered in Guy's Hospital wards, Jul 1852-Aug 1852, including ward reference, name, age and occupation of patient, and description of condition, symptoms, and treatment administered. Contains table in the back of the volume listing cases 'Mr Massey's taking in, Aug 1852' recording ward, number, case and page number. Also contains printed copy of directions for the recording of cases, and an index arranged alphabetically by disease.
