Small manuscript volume No 5 of surgical case reports of pupils of Mr Hilton, describing cases encountered at Guy's Hospital, May 1851-Jun 1852 including ward reference, name, age and occupation of patient, and description of condition, symptoms, and treatment administered. Reporters include RH Moon, Thomas Chaplin, Mr John Smith. Some details of their length of attendance or number of cases seen are also included. Also contains printed copy of directions for the recording of cases, and an index arranged alphabetically by disease.
