Typescript of Hamilton's letter to The Times, elucidating points in The life of Lord Curzon by Lawrence John Lumley Dundas, 2nd Marquess of Zetland (Ernest Benn, London, 1928), regarding Hamilton's article on the Russian threat to India, published in the Fortnightly Review in 1888; Hamilton's dinner in 1905 with FM Horatio Herbert Kitchener, 1st Earl Kitchener of Khartoum and Broome, and George Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Marquess of Kedleston, following an argument between Curzon and Kitchener over the role of the Military Member to the Council of the Viceroy of India, in which each had suggested the other should resign. 3pp
