Senior House Surgeon's diary, 30 May 1883-1 Apr 1890, containing weekly summary reports of surgical cases admitted to Guy's Hospital, for the briefing of the relieving house surgeon. Includes number of admission, descriptions of some of the accident cases admitted, type of operations performed, outcome of the operations, and other comments. Contains list of Senior House Surgeons in the front of the volume. Also contains manuscript instructions of the Hospital treasurer, Dec 1882, conveying the purpose of the diary.
