File includes typescript transcripts of the dictated diary, press cuttings relating to Short and his work, and correspondence concerning Short's death and permission to quote from his diary (Cicely Saunders quoted from it in talks and lectures, and extracts were published in her biography, Cicely Saunders: the founder of the modern hospice movement, by Shirley du Boulay, 1984).
