Training pamphlet produced by the Small Arms School, Netheravon, 1932

Pamphlet printed by the War Office entitled 'The preparation of an attack with special reference to the fire plan'; the exercises and examples in the pamphlet were partly devised by Clarke whilst a General Staff Officer at the Small Arms School at Netheravon, Wiltshire, 1930-1932. Includes maps and sketches of the area, with alternative types of artillery support, objectives of the attack, the direction of enemy fire, and troop movements. Two copies. 1 vol and 10 additions.

Notes on Training in Bush Warfare (Crown Agents for the Colonies, London, 1938), for the use of the Royal West African Frontier Force, the King's African Rifles, and the Northern Rhodesia Regt, including instruction on marches, camps and bivouacs, information and communications, and warfare against several types of enemies. A handwritten note by Clarke states that this is a revised edition, drafted at Kaduma Headquarters, Nigeria, by himself and others. 1 vol.
