The records of physiotherapy research at King's College consist of correspondence, minutes and research survey material, 1978-1990. These notably include correspondence with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy regarding grants, conferences and comparisons between the international provision of physiotherapy services, 1985; relating to the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Society for Research in Rehabilitation, hosted by the King's College Centre for Physiotherapy Research, and also comprising invitations, abstracts of conference papers and copies of the booklet entitled The first decade, 1978-1988 (London, 1988), 1988; correspondence concerning the content of the journal, Physiotherapy practice and its publisher, Churchill Livingstone, 1985-1988; minutes of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Electrotherapy sub-committee, 1988-1989; completed survey material relating to the National Survey of Equipment in Physiotherapy Departments, set up by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and co-ordinated by the Centre for Physiotherapy Research, with correspondence, tables of statistical data and questionnaires completed by health authorities and equipment manufacturers, 1986-1988; completed questionnaires for the related survey of electrotherapy equipment among private practitioners, 1986; completed patient questionnaires concerning mobility and disability for the Care of Elderly project; completed survey questionnaires and statistics for the project entitled 'The Role of Physiotherapy in the Care of Adults with Learning Difficulties (Mental Handicap)'; bibliographies of physiotherapy publications, 1982-1986.
