Admission register, 1844-1848, recording admissions of, chiefly unnamed, patients to Guy's Hospital recorded by the Clinical Society

Cases admitted and discharged commencing July 1844' Manuscript volume (Clinical Society) weekly lists of male and female patients admitted to Guy's Hospital, Jul 1844-Jul 1848. Details include number, ward, age, abode, occupation, disease, date of discharge and result. The patient's name is not recorded.From Sep 1844 the lists are divided into medical cases admitted under Drs Babington, Addison and Barlow, and surgical cases admitted under Messrs Morgan, Key and Cooper, and include the names of the physician or surgeon, the dresser and reporter.Also loose papers from the back of the volume, including case notes for Thomas Martin, 27 Sep 1847; and 5 pages of partially completed Clinical Society reports for Accident, Cornelius and Esther wards, which include details of the ward, number, surgeon and reporter, patient's name and age, date of admission, abode and occupation, aspect and general health, nature of injury or disease with date of origin, state on admission, progress, treatment, date of discharge and result.
