Manuscript letter from Aubrey Lewis, Poland, to Hilda Lewis, begun 19 May 1937, frankly detailing his observations of Cracow (Krakow) and Warsaw, and discussions with Polish scientists, including [Stefan Kazimir] Pienkowski, Director, University Nervous Disease and Psychiatric Clinic, Cracow, and [Janusz] Supniewski, Professor, Pharmacological Institute, Cracow, and [Jerzcy] Chorobski, Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, Warsaw. Also comment on anti-semitism in Cracow, lack of funding for scientific research, and a low standard of care for the mentally ill.
