DVD, Neuropsychology, describing the work of Mill Hill Emergency Medical Service Centre for the diagnosis and treatment of neurosis during World War Two. Description of the diagnosis of neuroses in service personnel and civilians through physical examinations including the taking of anthropological measurements to analyse the relationship between physiology and personality; psychological and intelligence tests; the collation of information about a patient's personal circumstances by social workers; assessments of suggestibility and stamina. Descriptions of treatments including physical treatments such as continuous narcosis treatment, insulin treatment, electro convulsion therapy, barbiturate injection treatment; therapies such as group therapy and occupational therapy; other activities such as physical remedial training, team games, lectures and debates, first aid and firefighting skills. Explanation of the focus of the treatment as allowing the patient to be of benefit and use to society, as well as themselves, in as short a time as possible. 21 mins. Also VHS copy of film.
