King’s College London Secretary’s in-correspondence from correspondents with surnames or topics beginning with the letter M, including William Marsden (1754-1836), orientalist and numismatist, donating his library to the College; Henry Moseley (1801-1872), Professor of Natural Philosophy and Astronomy, regarding the structure of his classes and requesting permission to lecture to the Manchester Mechanics Institute; Thomas Mears presenting some ‘Martin busts’ to the College Library; James Heywood Markland (1788-1864), College Solicitor, with an outline of charges owed to the Ironmongers’ Company. Also includes a petition from the medical Professors for an additional museum to hold the natural history and natural philosophy collections.
