Manuscript letters to the Secretary of King’s College London including William Manning (1763-1835), merchant, accepting a seat on the College Council; James Heywood Markland (1788-1864), College Solicitor, regarding the purchase of the Strand Site and the College charter; John Murray (1785/6-1851), writer on science and public lecturer, presenting his book on atmospheric electricity to the College [A treatise on atmospherical electricity : including lightning rods, and paragrêles (London, 1830)]. Also includes an anonymous letter withdrawing his subscription due to the location of the College.
