Manuscript letters to the Secretary of King’s College London including Felix John Vaughan Seddon (1798-1865), Professor of English Law and Jurisprudence, regarding the applicants for the first Worsley Scholarship (founded by Major General Sir Henry Worsley (1768-1841), army officer in the East India Company in 1834, to fund the education of missionaries to India); William Sewell ([1781]-1853), Professor of the London Veterinary College, requesting permission his students to attend lectures at the College; John Sheppard (1785-1879), religious writer, asking permission for his son, a student at the College, to absent from the College Chapel services on Sundays to attend a ‘dissenter’ church; the unsuccessful application of Richard Shilleto (1809-1876), classic scholar, for the Chair of Classical Literature; Robert Smirke (1780-1867), architect, regarding additions to the College building; the resignation of John Williams Spurrier ([1795]-1848), Professor of English Law and Jurisprudence.
