Volume entitled 'The India base', issued by the Commander in Chief's Secretariat, General Headquarters India (Ref No. 158/C in C Sect), giving a brief history of the Indian administrative base, including geography, resources, planning, building, development of the ports, the inland transportation system, signal communications, living accomodation, hospitals, training, storage and technical accomodation, food and canteen stores, cold storage, oil storage, containers, pipelines and airfields. Two copies, one stating that the report was downgraded from top secret to secret in 1946.
