Sp[encer] Perceval to Pessy [Spencer] his son, Downing St. Receipt of his exercise. Dr [G] Butler [Headmaster of Harrow] approves of both Spencer and Henry [his brother] being home for holiday. Criticises the exercise. Pleasure at Dr Butler's report of his kindness to his brother. Hopes he will be to his brothers and sisters what his elder brother was to him, since he lost his father early.
