Letter from A Matthews, Assistant Managing Director, Thomas Firth and John Brown Limited, Sheffield, Yorkshire to Stern, asking for confirmation that the company was to deal with the request of the French Mission du Ministère de l'Armement, on behalf of the French War Office, for sample tank armour plates, cemented and homogeneous, of 40 millimetres to 100 millimetres thick, in view of the fact that compliance would reduce the amount of assistance the company could give to the Ministry of Supply. 1p
