Letter from A Matthews, Assistant Managing Director, Thomas Firth and John Brown Limited, Sheffield, Yorkshire to the Mission du Ministère de l'Armement, London, in response to their letter of 7 Jan 1940 requesting on behalf of the French War Office the supply of ten sample tank armour plates, cemented and homogeneous, of 40 millimetres to 100 millimetres thick, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Supply, indicating that the company intended to refer the request to the Ministry of Supply. 1p
