Letter from Henry Vaughan Markham, Principal Priority Officer, the Admiralty to Stern, relating to a request on behalf of the French War Office for sample plates of tank armour, explaining that the manufacturers, Thomas Firth and John Brown Limited, Sheffield, Yorkshire had been informed that no priority of requirements could be established and that the Mission du Ministère de l'Armement, London should refer technical queries to the Admiralty. 1p
