Note by Stern of a telephone conversation with Sir James Lithgow, Chairman, Tank Board, in the course of which Stern requested an interview relating to the offer made to him by the Rt Hon Sir Andrew Rae Duncan, Minister of Supply to become Director General of Administration and Statistics, Ministry of Supply and they discussed the nature of a report to be compiled by Stern on methods of keeping statistics of tank production. 1p
