Report by Stern of a meeting with Maj Gen Vyvyan Vavasour Pope, Director of Armoured Fighting Vehicles, War Office and Capt Geoffrey Duke Burton, Director General of Tanks and Transport, Ministry of Supply at which they discussed the demonstration of the TOG 2 tank at the Experimental Establishment, Farnborough, Hampshire and Stern advocated the view that the design of tank armour should not be laid down but made in accordance with the type of artillery it was required to resist. 1p
