The range of topics covered is very broad, including examinations, endowments, public and special lectures, student residences, women students, King's College Hospital, Library, relations with the University of London and the King's Council and Delegacy, and especially staff appointments, obituaries and the development of individual departments and faculties. The more recent volumes of the minutes of the Committee of Deans also contain circulars and memoranda relating to the strategic development of the College.

Papers of Geoffrey Bullough, [1957-1975] contain typescript proofs of publications edited by Bullough. The collection contains annotated galley proofs from Bullough's Narrative and dramatic sources of Shakespeare (Columbia U.P, 1957 and later editions), notably including two copies of The Tradegie of Antonie by Robert Garnier, translated by Mary Herbert (1595) and two copies of The Troublesome raigne of King John (anonymous, 1591); carbon copy of The Taming of the Shrew [edited 1957-1975], which includes pencil annotation 'check this with original text'; annotated photocopy of Rosalynde. Euphues Golden Legacie by Thomas Lodge, (1592) [edited 1957-1975], perhaps suggesting that Bullough intended to edit this work; University of London BA examination paper for internal and external students in English, 1974 and University of London BA general examination paper for external students in Middle English 1300-1525, 1974.

Examination question papers of King's College London, 1933-1998, mainly comprising papers for undergraduates sitting finals, postgraduates sitting Masters' degree examinations, as well as a number of undergraduate yearly and mid-sessional examinations and copies of examination papers set by the University of London. Between the foundation of King's College London in 1829 and the incorporation of all faculties of the College (with the exception of Theology) into the University of London in 1908, students were assessed under examinations set by the College, as well as the examinations of professional and learned societies, and were also able to attend classes for matriculation from the University of London. Thereafter students of the College took examinations set by departments of the College and in the case of final undergraduate and postgraduate examinations, papers approved by the University.

From 1828-1909 the Council was the College's governing and executive body, exercising the powers of the College as provided in the Charter or Statutes. The King's College London (Transfer) Act 1908 incorporated the college into the University of London, and the Delegacy became the governing body of King's College. The Council thereafter governed the Theological Department only, which was separately administered from the rest of the College. The Delegacy was a committee of the Senate of the University of London, which had to ratify all major decisions. By the Royal Charter of 1980, King's College London was reconstituted, merging the Theological Department with the Faculty of Theology and the Council again became the governing body for the whole College. Between 1909-1980 the Court, as the financial board of the University of London, controlled the finances of the College through the custody, control and disposition of all property, funds and investments. The Academic Board advises the Council on all academic matters. The Professorial Board became known as the Academic Board in 1980.
