File of letters and documents formerly belonging to ex-King Manoel II of Portugal on the proposed restoration of the Monarchy and the formation of a new government, 1912-1913. The file also contains letters on his proposed marriage to Princess Augusta Victoria of Sigmarigen-Hohenzollern. Correspondents include King George V of Great Britain, Queen Amelia of Portugal, Princess Antoinette Esterhazy, Prince Wilhelm of Sigmarigen-Hohenzollern, Princess Augusta and Princess Louisa of Sigmarigen-Hohenzollern, Lord Roseberry and Ignacy Jan Paderewski.

Papers of Elsie Maria Mansbridge [1937-1940] contain notebooks and textbooks from Mansbridge's studies at Queen Elizabeth College; specifically two leather bound note books printed with 'King's College of H.&S.S.' containing physiology notes, graphs and diagrams taken by Hedin [1936-1940]; one leather bound notebook labelled 'household arts and laundry, volumetric analysis, first year degree' [1937]; one large purple bound notebook labelled 'E.Hedin 2nd year degree gravimetric analysis' [1938]; one large green notebook engraved 'sectional book' and labelled 'Hedin Physics KCHSS Group B' containing notes and diagrams. The collection also contains first, second and fourth year exam papers, 1937-1940 and books concerning household studies and chemistry, many of which were written by members of staff from King's College London.

Two items, martyrology of Portuguese missionaries in India and other parts of Asia, [17th century]; and manuscript entitled 'Principio do dereito q. tem el Rey de Portugal da Ilha de Goa...1595', bound with 'Livro tresladado dos contos de Goa de todos os ordenados q. Sua Magestade da na India...', both 1658, also with cipher used presumably by the Jesuits, 'Cifra da Compa. q. devem ter todos os superiores...'; were transferred to the <a href="https://www.kcl.ac.uk/library/archivespec/special-collections/access.aspx">Foyle Special Collections Library </a> at King’s College London in 2018.

These notably include the manuscript minutes of the Maxwell Society, 1947-1950, mostly summarising the title and content of individual Society lectures on subjects ranging from the development of the calculating machine, to 'reasoning automata' or the early theory of intelligent computers, and to the possibility of interplanetary travel, a talk given by Arthur Charles Clarke, the best-selling science author, an alumnus of King's, who was then Chairman of the British Interplanetary Society. Papers of Colin William Fraser McClare, c1957-1981, comprising biographical and autobiographical material; laboratory notebooks c1964-1976; 'ideas' diaries; drafts for lectures and papers (not all published) c1959-c1976; teaching material, in particular for a course on the 'Social Impact of the Biosciences' which started in 1973, with which McClare had been closely involved; a set of McClare's publications including his major papers on bioenergetics and the correspondence arising; correspondence, 1964-1976 (mainly early 1970s), includes letters exchanged with the philosopher Sir Karl Raimund Popper, who offered considerable encouragement to McClare's early attempts to formulate and publish his scientific ideas, and whose philosophy McClare acknowledged as a profound influence.
