Psychological reports on survivors of the JUPITER disaster and on some relatives of survivors, compiled chiefly by William Yule and his colleagues at the Institute of Psychiatry, with related correspondence between the Institute of Psychiatry and solicitors acting for survivors and their families with regard to compensation claims. Reports cover: the individual's experience of the sinking; their family background; adjustment since the accident; an analysis of their questionnaire responses; whether they are presently suffering from post traumatic stress disorder; the prognosis and suitable future treatment. Files for some of the children include copies of school reports. Some files include completed questionnaires. A small number of files cover more than one member of the same family, and a few files contain correspondence only. CLOSED for review 2095.
