Images include: x-ray diffraction photographs of DNA; graphs and other interpretations of the data obtained from the diffraction photographs, including Fourier transforms, Bessel wave functions, and diagrams and space-filled models of the structure of DNA; x-ray cameras and other cameras, reflecting microscopes and electron microscopes, and other equipment used in the course of DNA research; images relating to the work of the Muscle Group, under (Emmeline) Jean Hanson, researching the structural basis of muscular contraction; illustrations prepared for scientific journal articles and lectures by Unit staff.
